Hello! My name is Emily, and I am 16 years old. I live in a small, desert valley in the U.S. I enjoy art and music, especially playing my clarinet and saxophone, as well as being outdoors. I've been hiking the local trails for as long as I can remember, and I love being able to identify the plants and animals around me. Someday, I would like to be able to understand more of the natural world than just what I have grown up around, and this project has inspired me to be a bit more proactive about it. People describe me as odd, but I've come to accept that. I'm always willing to climb a tree, if anyone cares to join me.
