Mike Horn receives a warm welcome from Sabah's Chief Minister to discuss the Pangaea Project.

On the 14th of April, Mike was invited to visit Malaysia's Chief District Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman at Kota Kinabalu, the state capital of Sabah.

Talks were had about the integration of Pangaea's Environmental Training Camps to the Sabah district. The Minister said he would like more Malaysian youths to participate in exploration projects and will assist Mike in everyway possible to form environmental ambassadors.

Sabah province is rich with resources, natural beauty and unique cultures and as Mike Horn says, is the perfect place for young explorers to Explore - Learn - Act and use their experiences to pass on a positive environmental message, not only to Malaysia, but also to the rest of the world.

Yeah, the Malaysian Borneo State of Sabah is a melting pot for life's diversity. Hence, our government is taking a proactive measure to protect it, not only in Sabah but also in the Peninsular States and MBS of Sarawak. I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the importance of turtle conservation program in Malaysia since there is lack of awareness and knowledge on this gentle creature . There was a program called Egg=Life Campaign launched throughout Malaysia, asking the people to sign a petition to call for a law to ban turtle eggs selling in Malaysia. Sadly, it failed due to lack of participation from the people and the media as well. But it was still a happy memento for at least many people were exposed and educated toward this matter. We're looking forward to take another step to bring this crucial matter again in future. I personally hope that Pangaea and the Mike Horn team can join us in our next program.

How absolutely amazing that the government of Malaysia has the insight AND the will to create opportunities for their young people to become ambassodors for the enviroment!!! Young people have such drive / energy / passion !!! If this energy can be harnessed to save and protect our beautiful planet.....nothing is impossible !!! I believe that Pangaea and the Mike Horn team have taken time / effort and considerable resources to mount a huge international contingent of young people who ARE ALREADY a formidable force to forge change !!! What can I say YEPers...WOW !!!

WOW! Thank is exceptionally exciting. Malaysia is a country of huge beauty but needs a hand with the environment. I have a special interest in Malaysia as they are one of the main shark finning countries. It is a huge step forward to eagerness form the government. Through Mike Horn and Pangaea we can make a huge difference. We really need legislation to change. This is a huge opportunity! Thank you Mike and the team for all your hard work.
