Hey All you Amazing People!! We are 2 weeks away from an insanely awesome 10 days!! :) I am sooo excited :D

How is the preparation going everyone?! The group work and projects in the lead up to Switzerland?!

So..now some updates for all the YEPs in the Community. Yesterday we got to know that the USA expedition won't go to the Colorado River but to the Evergaldes National Park and the Gulf of Mexico and some part will be also on board the Pangaea vessel :D.
We the selected YEPs are still going on with contacting the media. We also research about the Everglades National Park and the Gulf from Mexico and their geography, biology, environment, history...
We are also divided up in 4 groups. Every group have to creat a project and we start to share informations about our research, talk about the problems there...
We also must give a presentation about ourselves at the Selection Camp so we should prepare this presentation. As you can see we have lots of work, but I really enjoyed to learn more about the aim of the expedition, to discuss with the others, to tell the other people about this amazing project and contact the media...and of couse make sport (because we shoul get prepared as well as possible for the Selection Camp):D

hey guys! sorry ive been neglecting this group but i have joined! and i cannot wait to meet all of you. (not that i havent said that yet) :)

This morning was simply indescribable for me.
I stood up, turned on my PC, checked my emails and was wondering why there were so many mails in my box. 3 with the subject "Pangaea USA Young Explorers", one with "YYEP Selection Camp in Château-d'Oex for Pangaea 10 USA Expedition!" and the last with "Equipment list for Selection Camp". At the first moment I was a little bit worried because nearly a week before I got the mail that I haven't been selected for the camp. It must have been a mistake. But after reading the first three lines, I knew what has happened. One selected YEP can't come and I was the next one on the list!
I'm so excited and honestly, I can't really beliefe it. My application has truly been a rollercoaster ride :D

Hi Guys, sorry for taking so long to join the group. Academics are really rough at the moment. I have contacted two universities in South Africa, and I think they are going to allow me to be interviewed for their campus newspaper, and maybe ontheir radio stations as well. I hope that after getting some publicity with smaller media organisations I will be able to work my way up to the larger national Media. Its terryfying to think that I mite be in a live interview. hahaha. If anyone has questions feel free to ask. So ampd to be going! Hope everyone is doing goood :) Happy Days
