I'm 18 years old, I'm living in Switzerland and I'm going to the gymnasium (gymnasium is something like the high school).

I like travelling, I like adventures. It's important to me to take care after the nature and other people, especially people from the developing world. So I was twice in Russia. There I was in hospitals, children's homes etc. I was there to help the poor people and bring them hope. I want to become a doctor and then I might work in another country, maybe in Africa. There I hope to help poor people and give them hope in hopeless situations. I adopted some African children, with this sponsorship they could go to school and they get food enough. I'm very happy to help them like this, but my wish is to help more practically....

I am so happy to live on this wonderful planet and I am very sad that the humans destroy it… I believe that now is the time to stand up and act against the environmental problems. I think that every person on our earth has the responsibility to protect the environment! That’s the reason why I am so enthusiastic about PANGAEA; we have a great possibility to act together for the environment, we learn about the environmental problems and we are motivated to spread out the PANGAEA message and to motivate other people to protect the earth. I would be so glad, if I were able to join a PANGAEA expedition!! :-) For me, one of the most important things of ecology is to motivate and convince other humans to join us in protecting the environment. If every person on our earth change his lifestyle to be a bit more eco-friendly, so much would change in our world! That’s the reason why I have tried to motivate my family and my friends to live more environmentally friendly. I am really glad that I have been able to convince a few persons, but I want to motivate also unfamiliar people to help to protect our earth. More about this in my Hymalayan Application Movie.

I really love to do sports. I do many different sports, e.g. swimming, jogging, climbing, cycling, sailing, hiking and diving. I did triathlon for a couple of years and when I was a child I was in a “life-saving-swimming-group” Weekly I go swimming in the lake, even in the winter when the air temperature is under 0°C. Regularly I go jogging and I cycle daily. Furthermore every day I do strength training. I love to go to my limits and to don’t give up even when the situation is hard. I am interested in a variety of things and I like to learn new things. My friends say that I am a bit crazy because I do things which not a lot of others do, e.g. Bungeejumping, backflips from bridges, swimming in the freezing lake in the winter etc. In my leisure I help to lead a children group in our church and I help some children by their homework. I love to play dramas and I'm in the playing company of our school. I'm interested in religious, ethical, psychological and philosophical questions and in foreign cultures.

I speak German (first language), French (learned at school) and English (learned at school, too) and a little bit Russian.

I think the youth generation have a great potential to make changes, when we act together! And I want to be a part of these changes for our earth!!!
