Over the last few days, Garrett, TimSt, Romain, Give-Me-Truth and many others are writing about taking action instead of ‘only writing'.

Linx and Cobus wrote about a project they are planning.

We all found this website and decided to actively join the YEP community. Most people want to help but have ‘no time' or a ‘ready to start' solution.

Like one of you wrote, many like to sit in front of the tv and vote...
I made the following experience and would like to make a suggestion to take global action, by making youth aware.

I just won a prize at the ‘Youth Software Price' in Germany, at the award I saw that this concept:  YOUTH TEACHES YOUTH, and I think it would really fit for the YEP-group as well.

My idea is to set up a website about the environment TOGETHER.

It should have a large subject range, explaining all subjects with pictures, drawings etc. about global warming, recycling, renewable energies but also about marine life, etc.

It should have tips on how to lower your ‘footprint', meaning, to use energy more efficien, eg: shorter showers, shutting down electric devices instead of putting them on standby etc.

But there should also be games and quizzes which, of course, have to be related to the subjects.

And then it should have sub-pages on which you can learn new things. I will go to a "Biomass-factory" mid February for example and see how energy is taken from garden, fruit and vegetable waste and of course, poo..:-). On the website I could put the information I gain

The site should available in many languages, since we want it to be for everyone...
Garrett just wrote about setting up his "Project Silence", my idea is similar but is intended to be for people internationally.

Have a look at www.yahooligans.com as an example for a website with lots of info.

We would then concentrate on ‘our subjects'.  

Everyone would have to help and take a role, for example:

The webdesign, programming, writing of texts, taking pictures, making drawings, creating games, translating everything to different languages etc.

It is much work but after we have done the initial setup we could go to the press, everyone in his own country or region, and make advertisement for this project.
We could get companys on our page advertising, and, ask them for money for the advertisement which we can use, for e.g., buying trees (or something else).
