YEP walking the CIRCUMFERENCE of the EARTH?
Hi!
Just been thinking of things we could do for Earth Day (22nd April 2010) and for the month of April in general. So, how about we walk the circumference fo the earth as a community???
So it would simple: just walk as many km you can this month, and we'll record it here on this website and hopefully all our totals together will add up to 40,041.47km!!!
Am I being too amibitious or is this a bad idea??? Would you want to do this??? Please give feedback, and then we can get cracking!!! :)
Just some calculations:
- If everybody (all 2898 members and all), would join in this unity walk, each person would only need to walk 13.8km
- If only a half would join then each person would need to walk 27.6km, and if a quarter of the members would join, each person would need to walk 55.3km
- This would be over a month (or longer??) so you don't have to finish your personal total in a day!
