I joined this commuity when my daughter started showing a serious interest in the PANGEA expedition.
I wanted to check out for myself....
WHAT it is all about....
WHO are these people....
WHAT is the point of it .... etc etc
I have done extensive research on the web and also on this site .....
There is no way I can give consent for her to apply without being TOTALLY convinced that this is a worthwhile persuit......would it be worthwhile enough for her to miss school days if necessary ???
......what would she learn???
.......could she make a valuable contribution to the expedition???
.......would it be as valuable for her future as she claims....???
........ etc etc ..and a million other Questions a mom wants to know!!!!!
AND WHAT AN AMAZING >>COMMITTED>>THINKING>>>INFORMED>>>WONDERFUL community of young people I have found!!!
This old lady has learned so much in the weeks I have browsed the blog entries !!! YEPers you have not only inspired each other but you have inspire me too !!!! My daughter often remarks on how amazing the blog entries are...We in this family are SO SO heartened.....and WE DO believe that THIS generation will turn around what my gerneration have messed up through ignorance ...greed and laziness.
VISSIE....not only do you have my approval and consent for your application....
I am SO holding thumbs for you as I know what this expedition would mean to you !!!!

Not only have I learned a ton from the blogs and videos, but I also have met some great people from around the world who have the same interests as me and are a ton of fun to talk to. Also, I have learned that the youth of the world cares and want to help and will help. I've always thought that adults were the only ones with an influence, but now I know otherwise. This has taught me so much. Furthermore, I am both amazed and excited by the opportunities presented by Mike and really would like to take part in one of them!2 points -
