Rejection gives so much power!

Guys! I’ve just got a message that my application for the Amazon Expedition was rejected. I have to admit that firstly an enormous sadness came, because I have really lost my head over the expedition as, I guess, most of those who applied for it did. But then I realized that a melancholy won’t change a thing and giving up won’t give me any chance more.

Maybe I haven’t done enough to be accepted? Maybe I should be even more engaged and the rejection is just a hint for me that I am able to do much more for the environmental protection?

Actually, the rejection has given me a great incentive to act more and I guess it is what Mike Horn and his Team expect;). The nature means a lot for me and I want to protect it as much as I can. Even if rejected for the expedition, it won’t change my eagerness to save it. I’m going to carry out planned tasks and actions I decided to fulfill. No one will stop me!

I wish EVERY YEP who is also rejected to think this way . I guess the expedition plays a great role in your lives too, but the nature still need us and our acting. So DO NOT GIVE UP and KEEP ON GOING!

And I would like to add that I’m really happy that I’ve joined the community, because you all are SO EXCEPTIONAL! Is a real pleasure for me to talk with people of the same mind, to exchange ideas and the news with you. The YEP community started playing a great role in my life (I’m not its member for the long time) and the awareness that somewhere in the world live so friendly, open-minded and enthusiastic about the nature people invite me to believe that WE ALL REALLY CAN CHANGE THE WORLD FOR THE BETTER! If not we, who can?;)

You can’t imagine how much I would like to meet all of you . I’d like to congratulate everybody who is chosen to take part in the camp. Still, I keep my fingers crossed for you and I’m looking forward to hearing your experiences in the selection camp and then in the Amazon rainforest!:)

I am so sad to hear that your application was rejected :( I know what you feel, I have been there about 4 months ago! And it really gave me a huuuuge kick to do something, to actually act and to be more creative with my video! Fortunately, as for now, my application was strong enough to be in TOP 43 but we will see what happens next!

I know you will make it to Africa Expedition! :) Good luck!!

Maja, that's the way to go! The reson why I love the YEP community so much, is because there are people like you in it. It's not how or why you fall that counts, but the way you pick yourself up and carry on!! Well done! I wish that everyone looks at things in this way! You are an incredible person, now keep up the good work! :)

great words - and don't give up!! I found success to get to the selection camp on my 4th try - each time I got rejected only made me want to be a part of the YEP family even more. :)
