Pangaea in Hong Kong

Hello,
This is Jun Li in China, just back from Hong Kong.

Having ended the trip to Japan,
Pangaea sailed to Hong Kong across the massive typhoon,
on purpose of another promotion of Young Explorer Program
And I, as the Chinese ambassador, was invited to join in its stop.

As you might know,
Mike will start his Yellow River Expedition in China in 2010, and end it in Shanghai.The team is eager for more Chinese young adults who have passion to cope with the environmental problem in China and the whole world.
That might make sense why Pangaea stops in Hong Kong, getting more exposed to the public.

Thanks to the excellent arrangement of Panerai Officine, one of Pangaea's biggest sponsors, there were about 50 journalists in total, from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, varied in Luxury magazine, fashion magazine, sports magazine, TV program(China Phoenix中国凤凰卫视,Chong Tian台湾中天),even a guy of CNN.
That is surly enough to make a tremendous impact on the public about the project.

You guys couldn't imagine the 3 days Mike, the crew and I had,
welcoming groups,bunches,parties,gangs of media.

1600  Sailing Tour on Pagaea (15 China Media with 2 TV Station will join)

2000 - 2130    Panerai Press Dinner with Mike and Jun Lee

28 Sept (Monday) - 2 Media Section - HK Media (only Section 2 to join
Sailing Tour)
1100  Transfer from Central to Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club
1200  Mike Horn Press Conference - Section 1
1230  Media Lunch
1400  Mike Horn Press Conference - Section 2
1500  Sailing Tour on Pangaea (HK Media)
1600  Sailing Tour Finishes and Return to Marina Club
1630 to 1730      Transfer from Marina Club to Central

29 Sept (Tuesday) - 3 Media Section (only Section 2 to join Sailing Tour)

So, generally, when a set of journalists came and sit around in the conference room in Pangaea,
1.The boss of Panerai explained the long-time cooperation with Mike Horn.
2. Mike introduced the YEP program, the crew and did a presentation of his expedition.
3. Time for the New Zealand Expedition videos.
4. Pangaea inside tour.
5. Sailing in HK Victoria Harbor and interviews.
6. Buffet feast in marine club and interviews.
7. Night time outside.

Many reporters came to me with curiosity.
How did you know this project？
Why did you join in and how?
Is there any moment unforgettable to you?
Did you cry or fear during the expedition?
How do you like Mike Horn?
Do you still keep contact with the others?
Do you think it change your life somehow or entirely?
Do you plan to do something now?

I could feel that those journalists were moved by this significant project and sincerity of Mike Horn.
"That's what I can do in front of the challenge. What you can do? Spread the information, because we need you, not to have news on myself.But for the young children; let them get chance to do something for our planet."

Pangaea is a boat of dream,
not a cruise, it goes to expedition,
not personal,it loads passion of our generation,
not luxury, it's eco-friendly and accessible to anyone who has interest in it.

I don't intend to do an advertisement,
but look at Pangaea's sponsors,
Panerai, Mercedes Benz, Geberit and so on,
they don't pay for a top model, a pop singer, a football player or a star actor!
Instead, they sponsor our teenagers, just a bunch of happy young children!
What risky investment, cuz you might not see the profit in short or never,
But on the other hand, they are long-sighted,
doing something for the future of our human beings, our planet,
not the personal desire or market profit mainly any more.

All strength in different ways will come together one day.

I think Pangaea's promotion in Hong Kong is perfectly successful!
The important message will be shared more with the rest of the world.
