After a long time of fundraising and preparation the Pangaea Food Gardening Project is about to take place. This is a message from Carlien Wolmarans (Young Explorer Antarctica Expedition)
To all Johannesburg based YE's:
Pangaea Food Gardening and Food and Trees for Africa will be building and planting vegetable gardens on the Saturday the 24th of July at Rietvallei Primary School (corner of 1st and 2nd Street, Rietvallei ext 2,3). The day will start at 9 am and finish around 3:30 pm. There will also be a second day on the 7th of September where we will be welcoming Spring with an official launch of the gardens with planting of Spring seedlings and trees. If you are available on either of these days, any and all help will be appreciated as we depend solely on the help from volunteers. If you will be able to join us on either of these days, please contact Carlien on carlien@bera.co.za for more details.

Good luck with any further planning.0 pointsmichaelscholl wrote 666 Days Ago (positive) 1Congratulations Carlien on making this project come true! And thank you to all the YEPs who have sold postcards and collected funds to allow this project to happen! I hope that many South African YEPs will join the event this coming Saturday to help! Bravo Carlien and Simon!0 points
