One of my passions in life is to dance. My dancing teacher has involved me in her outreach program called Ikamva. She has taken four girls, aged 10-13 years old off the streets of the township of Guguletho and is training the girls to dance, so that they have a life skill. I have embraced this idea and helped my teacher with the girls and host the girls in our home andto expose them to a different life style. I love the fact that children from a total different upbringing, culture and language can be united through a common interest or passion. This weekend myself and two of the outreach girls were invited to dance at an award ceremony, as we were in the top 10 in the district for our dance exam. Tania, one of the outreach kids, won the award. I am so proud and excited for he,r as this scholarship, that she won, could be the start of something really great for her. I hope that each of us have the chance to make a difference in someones life, or change the way that people think.
