Hey all YEPers!

I wanna write a blog about the camp right after coming back from it but it was ... too hard for me... I didnt know how to express my feelings about it. And now when the emotion calmed down I've decided to share with you what I felt during these 10 amazing days!

First of all, me and Joanna were flying together from Gdansk. And since the very beginning we had a lot of problems. :D Our first flight was delayed and we were worrying whether we will be able to catch the next one cause we had only 40 minutes but when we arrived to Munich it came to us that we didnt have to hurry up cause our second flight was ... CANCELLED! Awesome. We had to wait another 2 hours on the airport... (but the good thing is that we got the vouncher for 10 euro to spend on the airport :D ) Ok, and then we finally arrived to Geneva but it wasnt the end of our problems :( My suitcase came to me very destroyed and Joanna's bag didnt arrive!! So we spent another our in the office... And then finally around 7:30 pm we met Alexis, Jasmine and Martin :)) We arrived to the hotel around 9:30 (of course the last! everyone was there for couple of hours getting to know each other) and we were able to finally meet the team and other Young Explorers! That was crazy! Everyone was talking to you, introducing, showing everything! I was a little bit confused, everything was going so fast but I was sooo extremely happy to be there!! And since the very first moment I could feel the Pangaea spirit :))

Joanna, Martin and I got the very quick dinner and then we all gathered in the seminar room for the very first 'serious' meeting. Everyone oficially introduce himself, Matrin told us the rules of the Camp and Hotel. And that he is the BOSS and all the gifts and sweets for him we should put on his desks but we have to sign them cause the whole team loves sweets :D (and we listen to him tomorrow :P but i will write about it later :P). Of course we were recording during this meeting and it wasnt even the weird feeling, at least for me it was fun that someone wanna record what i'm telling :P.

Then we went to our rooms, all very exhausted after the journey, some had the jet lag. My first roomies were Nici and Akira. I was soo happy to be there with them and Nici I will never forget that we both got our 'CONGRATULATIONS' e-mails during our skype chat :)) Akira very quickly opened her laptop and YES!!! We were on the website!! The first blog and photos!!!! I remember that we all were SOOOO excited reading it :D hahaha it was so strange to read about ourselves! :D

After that even if we were tired and wanna sleep, we were talking about the activities which we are going to do (we got the program) and what will be the most exciting during the camp. Then we set our clockalarms on 6:30 and ready for the first morning exercises and a new day we fell asleep :)

Now when I'm coming back to all these memories I really wish I could come back there. I miss you my lovely YEPers and I want to meet you again!! Remember my doors in Poland are always open for you and I would be so happy if you visit me :)

This was about the first day of the Selection Camp. I will write more soon. But tomorrow I'm leaving to Germany for my charity work and I'm not sure whether I will have an access to the Internet. :( I will come back around 23 August so I would like to wish all the applicants for the next expedition: GOOD LUCK! Take your time to improve your application form and thin carefully about all the questions! Dont worry if you are not selected for the first time! It is not a tragedy! You can apply one more time! :) Just dont give up!

And I would also like to use this occasion to wish all my friends who are going to Mongolia: Enjoy every minute of it, have fun, take the most of it, learn a lot and then spread this knowledge with us! :) I hope you will feel comfortable during horse riding :D I miss you!

Lots of love

Agnieszka

PS. If you have any question concerning the application, selection camp or whatever then remember that I'm always happy to talk to people and dont hesitate to contact me :)
