Hi! I'm Manu and I come from Barcelona.. Yep, Barcelona.. This "beautiful, amazing and funny" city which is so polluted and dirty that you can't almost see the sky over your head! I love doing all kinds of sports and we have places here pretty close to Barcelona to do hiking, mountain biking, climbing.. and always I can I go there some weekends with my friends to camp or just to enjoy of the environment for a day. We are also close to the sea and I love going surfing and diving..You can see amazing thins in the depth of the Mediterranean sea! I love learning new things and I'm a good student because I'm interested in almost all the knowleadge I learn there.. But I don't like feeling I'm forced to study or do something... That's why I think the actual education system doesn't really works. I like discovering think by my own interest, that's the amazing of learn. The most you learn, the most free you are, because nobody will be able to pull your leg! And I think that will help me extremely to make my "dream" of going with my sailboat everywhere and to live visiting the whole world, come true. I also love learning languages. I love meeting new people and that's why I love that because that helps you to be able to speak with lots of different kinds of people, cultures and that makes you learn a lot in this life.. I can speak English, Spanish, Catalan and a bit of portuguese and this year I wanna study Chinese and Arabic.. And I'm sure I'd like to study more languages! But my sailboat will be waiting after 5 years studying these two languages! When it comes to this project, I think we (especially the youth) must do something to change the world situation. Nowadays, people only worries about how big are they TV's screens and how pretty are their new dresses...They have totally forgot the sense of beauty that we receive when we born. You can look anywhere around you and'll be able to see lots of beautiful places and misteries in this "common" world. You just have to think about yourself and your life. Nowadays nobody cares about the nature and the environment, everybody is just looking for they greed and their money. And they say they're "happy"...because they have a big house, a big TV, a huge car, and a even bigger diamond ring...I just feel the need to say stop to this...to life a real life and not a plastic one... This project is for me a big oportunity that can open even more my eyes and let me see this incredible beauty that hides out of my current life. It's like a train. And when I was younger, somebody told me there are some trains that we come across with only ones. There are some people who prefer to get stuck in their sofas watching the TV and eating pizza, closing the windows not to see the light of the sun. I prefer not to miss this train in my life. Because I'm sure this experience would help me to find myself, my weaknesses and my strengths. Because I'm sure I can be so helpful for this amazing revolution. Because this project and meeting all this people who I think like, has already changed something in my view of a world change. And I'm sure this trip would bring about in my mind a radical revolution. And a big change in my mind is a little change for this world. Because I feel I'm wild. Because I'm just need to feel free and to know the true natural freedom. Because i just wanna know where my body can bring me to. Because I'm an animal. Just like you.
