Hi, my name is Taylor Morrell from Rochester, NY. I am a hard-working, funny, caring and open-minded person. Being athletic and participating in soccer, freestyle skiing, swimming, climbing, mountaineering, hiking, golf, karate and more I love being outside!!! Going outside for all of these sports has created my love to constantly be outside in the sun. After hiking in the Adirondacks for many years (with my cousin Lauren Morrell) I have become a 46er meaning I have climbed all 46 high peaks in the adirondacks. Climbing ADK mountains sparked my interest in bigger mountains. Always ready to move quickly, I climbed Mount Shasta (14,179ft) in California just one week after I finished my 46 and became the youngest to reach the summit for the year of 2010.Planning to climb Kilimanjaro, the Kilimanjaro Porters Project began as I learned of their mistreatment and knew that I wanted to help. I have been working on this project for almost 1/2 year and have received sponsorship from under armour and have raised a lot of clothing to address porter needs. I plan to raise about $5,000 with this small project and then raise 500 clothing items for the porters. This small project is one of many I have worked on as from a young age I took on community service and plan to do more, and start a local project right here in Rochester that will be my biggest one yet, soon. I love traveling and learning about new cultures as well as meeting new people. I hope that I can someday be a part of the Pangaea experience someday when I am eligible. Changing daily routine to help the environment has become a habit of mine as I have become a environmentalist. In the meantime, I plan to have my own adventures as I will climb Kilimanjaro,Grand Teton, Aconcagua and other peaks in colorado hopefully in the future. Life's not worth it without having fun so why not do so every day. From, Taylor
