Hello people out there!

My name is Sophia and I live in Austria, right between the alps. I speak German, English and a bit of French, so choose in which language you want to communicate with me. :)

I like music and I have been playing the recorder for 10 years. I also love playing soccer, being in the mountains, reading, going to the cinema and I am very interested in science. I am currently studying Geography.

I did a project about Climate Change together with some friends and since then I want to act to stop it. But until now I haven't had the chance to change even a bit. I am trying to live environmentally friendly, but I want to do more. So now I am glad I found this project and that I can be part of it.

I like traveling and seeing more of the world. I visited several different places and I know how beautiful nature is. But I also saw how people don't respect nature anymore and leave their garbage just on the ground.

I already met lots of nice people here and I hope to make even more friends and learn about you and your country's culture.

I had the unique opportunity to visit Château-d'Oex and participate in the Mongolia/Gobi Desert Selection Camp. If anybody is not sure whether to apply for an expedition or not, I can just tell you one thing: DO IT! I had a great time, found lots of new friends and now feel really part of the project.

I also organized the first YEP Meeting in Austria in September 2011, together with Mario and Ansgar.
