A little description of me and my life:

I'm a 16 year old earth warrior who feeds on sport and adventure and I HATE routine! I come from Canada bu currently live in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai. I train everyday for triathlon, I either swim, run or cycle, and also compete in various provincial competitions. I am also in my school's netball team and basketball team and I just love teamwork! I am also in a green club where we try to improve our school's carbon footprint and decrease the amount of plastic we use. Everyday, I try to add some spice to my life and always try to do something out of the ordinary!
Since my dad is addicted to sports, my whole life has been surrounded by sports and nature, so it is pretty natural for me to be environmentally responsible. Meeting new people is part of my daily life, and I am always seeking to do so, so don't be shy to talk to me!
The amount of energy I have is incredible.. anyways that's what my parents always told me. When I want to achieve something, I never let go, even if it hurts and work harder and harder to get to my goal!
Perseverance is my second name, and nothing really scares me as I have been going in the Canadian forests with my father since I'm a baby. I know how to live in the woods with a backbag, some matches and a knife! I just love to be with the nature alone with my dad and the calmness of the snow falling.
As I said, I love adventure, and could not live without it, it is part of who I am, and nature defines my true self, it is within me. I hate seeing people destroying the Earth, they are selfdestroying each other, and are taking a part of me everytime they do so.
A few years ago, my family and I moved to the United Arab Emirates which is totally the OPPOSITE of the Canadian weather. The desert was impressing and this was a new adventure starting for me! We found a way to discover a lot of new things and walk in the big mountains in the north of the UAE! I used to speak only French and had to learn English in less than 1 year to succeed in school, but with a lot of effort and self-dedication, I did it and this was one of the biggest mental challenge I had overcome.
As I previously said, I love nature and I know that what I have seen is just a small part of what the Earth offers us everyday, but people around me are destroying what we preciously have and it pains me. I want to make a change, and if everybody thinks that way, we might actually make one. I think if we all share our passion for ecology and our love for planet Earth, we could really achieve something big and GREAT! I am a VERY (sometimes too much) social person and love to exchange new ideas and communicate with people from all around the world. Living in Dubai, I meet new nationalities everyday and ADORE to know about other cultures and traditions from far away countries! I also am obsessed with animals and their protection, marine life and the fauna. I just hope one day we can all can live in harmony, helping each other out, instead of destroying them.

Living in Dubai, there is an extremely thin distance between the poor and the rich and I know that most of us don't want to care about the people in need, but we need them as much as they need us. We need to educate ourselves and work TOGETHER. Also, here in Dubai, pollution seems to be growing bigger everyday and I am doing my best to prevent it but the people here haven't been taught to be green like I have as a child and I think it is my obligation to show them. That's why I go in schools in small towns and explain to younger ones how we can improve our planet's health and what steps THEY can take, as well as why we need to make a change.

I am so thankful for my amazing parents and family for supporting me in my dreams and also for teaching me so much about the world and for having given me the chance to travel around the world to discover new cultures! I thank them for putting me and my brothers out of our comfort zone, so that we get the most of life!

I love to discover new things and live new experiences everyday! I can't stop myself from dreaming to travel everywhere, learn new things, see amazing things, feel new emotions and taste other foods, life is big and I view myself lucky to be able to appreciate what our planet gives us!

And I believe that it is our DUTY as citizens of the world to help each other and learn from each other!
