Hi!! My name is Carlien Wolmarans, I live in South Africa and I'm damn proud of it!! I speak Afrikaans and English, slooooowwwly trying to learn Zulu. I basicly grew up in the bush, so to me, the African veld is my one true passion. Conservation only recently became a serious thing for me, when I saw how the veld was slowly diminishing. From there my fascination grew, until I discovered this site, which made it blossom. I was lucky enough to go with Mike on his Antarctica expedition, and life hasn't been quite the same ever since. It taught me a lot of things, and inspired me to everything I can to conserve and help those in need. It also taught me to grab life's oppurtunities by the horns and to face my fears! The biggest dream I have is to see the rest of my Mother Africa and to soak up her precious way of life. "You'll never leave Africa...it's in you're blood."
