I practice gymnastic since I was 7 years old, and I have already practiced football, handball, swimming, and diving. Music is something magical. Seriously, it can pass a beautiful message, it can make you smile, or cry, and its lyrics can have a critical point of view... I don’t know how to play any instruments yet, but I love to sing (well, I have to learn it too)! Laughing, for me, is the best medicine. Thats something I practise every day! I hear about environmental and social issues in my school since first grade. So, I have a lot of information about deforestation, water pollution, endangered animals but I feel that I have never done something really meaningful. Now I am trying to do, more than I criticize. In July, this year I went to Oxford to do a course on International Relations. We read a lot, had debates, and watched a lot of movies. My class had people from all over the world (such as France, Italy, US, Lebanon, Turkey, Spain, India), so we heard others points of view and this changes everything! After this experience I am not the same. Now I started thinking about getting into politics, this way I can do something in the environmental department and also on the social problems (witch are enormous here in Brazil). With some friends at school we came to this idea of creating a group of doers. Together we will put up some money to be able to accomplish what we’ve planed to. Some ideas are to create study group in public schools, motivate carpoolers and reduce the disposable things at school and in the students houses. But before this project I started volunteering, playing, reading and learning with kids. Now I give computer classes at night to adults. It is the best opportunity I ever had. The current ideal of individualism is terrible, because we need to work as a group to fight for ours ideals and, only in union, we will be able to apply great and smart changes.
