I love to learn and try new things! Hi Everyone, I'm Lauren, and I'm from Annapolis Maryland (sailing capital of the US). I have grown up on the water and am very comfortable around it. I like to scuba dive, snorkel, windsurf, surf, (although I'm not very good at surfing quite yet), tube, wakeboard, waterski, and of course, swim. I am on the swim team in summer and winter and the sailing team spring and fall. I also really like hiking alot, canoe/kayaking, climbing trees and EVERY sport there is! I am basically much happier when I'm outside.  Five years ago I committed to 'going green'. I am the President of my school's Interact/Environmental Club. I have changed my home and habits to be entirely eco-friendly, including using Wind Power! Unfortunately, the river I live on, the Severn, Capital river of Maryland, got a C+ on its latest report and the water is very dirty. Fish are unable to live in some places, and the riprap shorelines are destroying habitats. This summer I have done water testing with the Severn Riverkeeper to try to change these things. Go Green!

Other interesting things to know about me are that I speak French well, I paint, I used to play the flute and have dabbled in piano, and many other things.
