Elo, I live in South Africa, and I am a enthusiastic Cape Townian :-). I am currently 18 years. When I was Nine i was diagnosed with Slumber Epilepsy, and my self confidence dropped...It was odd being told what I'd got and I felt like an outsider, actually this was the best thing that had ever happened to me, i began to realise that I was not normal ! From from that point i have used it to my advantage,(well, who wants to be normal?) Since that life changing day, i have played Ice Hockey for Western Province. I've been hiking and climbing.ln Jan 2009 I summited Mount Kilimanjaro, and mount Elbrus from the North Face in July 2010. I am an ambassador for the Epilepsy S.A. Youth Awareness Program and I am currently trying to escape to Russia, were I want to attempt to climb the highest Mountain in Europe, Mt. Elbrus. As you can see, I'm a bit of a loon, as well as an eager hiker. In all, my life dream is to acomplish the "7 Second Summits", however I still need to watch my Carbon Footprint on Planet Earth. The devestation as a result of global warming really scares me. I plead to our generation,as it is OUR generation, we MUST find sustainable alternatives to live sensitively and sensibly. I'm a people person, and I'd like to make friends all over the world!
I was fortunate enough to take part in the PANGAEA Himalayan Expedition in 2010, it was life changing to say the least. The PANGAEA expedition is raising the awareness needed to preserve this awesome planet of ours! Its easy to join and if you work a bit at it you'll be able to see a part of the planet which will undoubtable change your mindset for the better. JOIN & SPREAD THE WORD!!
Right now I'm ACTing for the Planet and the youth, KAPE TO KENYA 2012
