Hi all, I'm Hannes, I live in a small city called Geel, in Belgium. I speak Dutch, English, a bit of French and a little bit of German. I'm almost 18. Finally I'll be allowed to explore this wonderful planet on my own! Starting this summer with Scotland! Music and nature are my passions! I play and listen to all kinds of music, but I rather like the heavy genres like metal and experimental rock. It takes most people some time to learn and appreciate it, but I fell in love immediately. A love for music that hasn't dissappeared ever since. I also play a lot of music myself, especially drums and a little bit of guitar too. Drumming is my sport and relaxation at the same time! After playing with my band Triploid for 4 years, I now started something new with a friend. We take it easy, but we'll get there someday! My second passion is nature. When I was young, I loved to play outside, climb trees, going far from home, into the countryside to places in I had never been before. That need to explore new things is still somewhere inside of me. I love seeking thrills like climbing mountains or waterskiing or snowboarding. But I also adore travelling, whether it is to the Belgian coast, or to my favourite Greece, I just like being away in nature. It gives me some kind of relaxed, happy feeling that I only experience when I travel. I'm fond of water and everything that lives in it. That's why I started diving courses this year. I always wanted to dive and now I'm finally able to learn it! And I know that I have to do something with this after my graduation! I get the creeps if I look at the world right now, how people are just watching how our planet gets destroyed... And I know we can do something about it, but than we all have put our hands together! I think my future lies over there, making people realise how beautiful nature is and how important it is to preserve everything we have left! Not only for the beauty, but also because every ecosystem, no matter the size, has it's effect on us, humans. I only hope I'm not too late with my 'global warning'...
