Ahoj všichni!  -  Hi everybody!

Hi! My name is Barbra and I am from small country in the middle of Europe called Czech Republic. I grew up in the beautiful countryside with people who loved fishing and adventure books. I had lived together with nature and I fell in love for all its innocence and pure beauty.   I had dreamt about far countries and its strange nature, animals etc., about whom was my father talking all the time. My father have been great traveller, I own him so much in my live. But take me to the city at my six, was the worst thing he have ever done to me. At first time I haven´t got much friends, all the girls wanted to become famous models, actresses, singers or princesses.  I always wanted to become a sailor.  At my seven my father enrolled me to the intensive courses of swimming and after, he bought a sailing boat in Croatia. It completely changed my life. We use to spend a month every year on sea. We sailed in Croatia, Italy, and Greece.... And I finally found friends with common hobbies. I enrolled to lot of courses which protected the environment, I was mostly interested in the biggest club in Czech, called,, Žlutý květ´´ ( Yellow flower in English). It is the organisation for youth who wanted to protect our beautiful nature. Nowadays I am still travelling a lot with my father but now for my own money.  For my 15^th birthday I got a crossing the Adriatic sea from Croatia to Italy only with my friend on 10 metres long boat. It was the best time of my life! I love sea! We were also in Israel and Jordan to visit famous cities like Jerusalem or Petra. In Sudan we discovered a common Sudan village with charity organisation. And this Year (2011) I travelled to my father’s friends to Alberta, Canada. But my favourite place is Egypt for its beautiful sea, because my favourite sport is scuba diving and snorkelling.. This year I want to try a free diving. I also fell in love with photographs and all stuff about them.

I am visiting Prague Gymnasium Arabská, it is one of the best Gymnasiums in Czech and I am very proud to study nature sciences here. I am learning French, Spanish and I really hope that I can speak well English.I also hope that I will sail around the world some day. And If it´s won’t work out I want to work for Médecins Sans Frontières (Medics without borders) or with Red Cross to help children in Africa.

Oh, I almost forgot. I am a member of our city Firemen ´s organisation as a volunteer.  It has been almost 2 years since I had enrolled and I am still much exited in our projects. We are organizing a lot of charity programmes, days of Firemen, many actions for kids or some big clean up actions for cleaner city environment.

This year I organised with them a big Clean up of river Vltava. It was very successful. If you are interested look on my photos or this web :

Sea, diving, helping, exploring,  nature, sailing,  good food – cooking, music, old photographs,  adventure books, creative people, and the days when I am feeling that I live my live to the fullest J

Volunteering, making money for charity, medicine, biology, mysteries, sea live, sea shepherd, and Pangaea programme!

· My dreams

Sail around the world (became the first girl from Czech which manages this),

Make difference every single day,

become a sea biologist/ geologist or Army doctor ( something like this I still don’t know ), and I wish I´ll be able to say on the end of my live, that I did my best and I lived my live to the fullest, I am not sorry about anything!!

My biggest goal is to stop the threat of destroying the beauty of our earth by convincing other people, because I thing that the key is a KNOWLEDGE. It´s a lot of tough job to do, but I hope that we can make it with patience, courage and a good heart and by working together we can hope to save what is left of Nature and give future generations such a valuable gift. That´s why I joined The Pangaea project, because I have a feeling that here is nothing impossible.

For first time in my life I really feel that I can make something really valuable here. Thank you Mike
