Me!!!

I am a nature loving friend, with a passion for the conservation and protection of our wonderful world. There are not a lot of things that can relax me as much as just being outdoors especially as I live in the city. I spend my time playing hockey, squash, running, just hanging out with friends and photography (as this gives me a reason to be in nature). What I like about photography is that it gives you an opportunity to show how beautiful our world really is and it can be shown to people who can not go where you can. At school I am also part of the wildlife society, social outreach and SCA. I love to learn, to be challenged and to experience new things. Always being positive is a big part of my life as well! Everyday I try to learn something new and my goal is to never let a day go by wasted. I believe life is what you make of it and I intend to live as much as I can in my lifetime!!

If I could change one thing what would it be?

If I could change one thing in the world it would be the way people look at the environment. It would be the ignorance of people and their selfish ways. People that know what effect it has on the environment if they waste electricity and just keep on wasting it is the problem. There will always be new solutions to save electricity or rescue a species but unless you change people the problems will keep on coming.

Why I love the Pangaea project

When I thought about the project I started to wonder why they do not use the money to educate people in Africa because education is one of the few charities without an expiration date but then I realized educating 30000 African children will not give them an unstoppable love to save the earth. They will also only have limited resources to use with what they got taught. Mike Horn and his team invested in us to make a difference! They want to inspire us so that we can go out and teach people around us or maybe even start a school in a poor community . They are taking us to all these places with Mike Horn himself so that we can use these experiences and what we got taught to keep on fuelling our passion to make a difference! Mike Horn is investing in us! This is such a great opportunity that if you are selected, you cannot let it go to waste! You need to prove to the people that were not selected that you are worthy enough to follow the dream others could not. Make a difference not only because you can, not only because it is your duty, but because you want to! Be the change you want to see in the world!
